jennifer tipton
 

Jennifer Tipton is well known for her work in theatre, dance and opera. Her recent work in opera includes Welsh National Opera's The Queen of Spades, the Dutch National Opera's Peter Grimes and the English National Opera's War and Peace. Her recent work in dance includes Paul Taylor's Antique Valentine, Twyla Tharp's The Beethoven Seventh for the New York City Ballet and Trisha Brown's El Trilogy. In theatre her recent work includes The Seagull in Central Park, Franny's Way for Playwrights' Horizons, NYC, Mourning Becomes Electra in Seattle and To You, the Birdie for the Wooster Group. Ms. Tipton teaches lighting at the Yale School of Drama. She is the recipient of the Dorothy and Lillian Gish Prize for 2001. A founding member of The Builders Association, she has designed light for all of their productions.
